About the Role:


As Director CTSM Supply & Data Integration, you will lead the deployment, configuration, and optimization of BioNTech’s Intelligent Clinical Supply Management (ICSM) SAP module within our global Clinical Trial Supply Management (CTSM) division. Acting as a strategic counterpart to IT, you will ensure seamless data flow, accuracy of information, and optimized processes across clinical trials and external partners.
In this pivotal leadership role, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive innovation in clinical supply chain management. Your expertise will directly contribute to advancing BioNTech’s mission of delivering transformative therapies while setting new standards in clinical trial supply management.

 

Your Contribution:

 

  • Act as Business Process Owner for the CTSM digital ecosystem, including ICSM integration with systems such as S/4HANA, IRT, and vendor platforms; oversee rollout, change management, and training initiatives
  • Serve as CTSM Global Template Process Owner for SAP value streams (e.g., I2R, S2S, MDM), ensuring alignment with business needs through collaboration with template process owners and system stakeholders
  • Lead the identification and alignment of ICSM/SAP workflow requirements while managing expectations for harmonized execution of business requirements and system capabilities
  • Represent CTSM as Business Owner for SAP/ICSM system URS validation processes
  • Direct projects related to CTSM master data and integration; resolve issues, implement data governance practices, optimize processes during transformations, and enhance data reliability

 

A good Match:

 

  • Completed university degree in Engineering, Clinical Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Doctorate preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Clinical Trial Supply Management within pharmaceutical/biotech or regulated industries; experience with system providers is an advantage
  • Proven track record in ERP/IT implementation projects such as SAP S/4HANA; expertise in ICSM modules and third-party data integration concepts
  • Demonstrated skills as a super user overseeing SAP-supported clinical supply processes like material management, demand/supply planning, and logistics using tools such as Kinaxis, ICSM, IRT or Veeva
  • Advanced experience integrating diverse data flows while managing administrative functions for data flow control and access across systems supporting clinical trial supply activities
  • Exceptional project management skills paired with strategic thinking and negotiation abilities; adept at making decisions that prioritize team success
  • Fluency in English (business-professional level); German proficiency is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership abilities to guide individuals with diverse professional backgrounds toward shared goals
